Everything in your workspace is free after you create an account. Here is how to get started.
Create your free account
Use Google or email and password. Email accounts must verify their inbox before opening a workspace. Each login has its own private records. No card, subscription or upgrade is required.
Start with your own rates
Open Account → Edit profile. Enter your business details, labour cost assumptions and customer charge rate. VAT stays off until you configure your registration. Materials and reusable tasks live in Rates & Templates. Example prices are illustrative; enter your own figures.
Your first quote
Add a customer, create a job and enter material, labour and other lines. Save it and issue a quote version. Download or share its PDF from Documents. Each issued version keeps a fixed snapshot of details and rates.
From quote to job
Mark the job accepted when your customer agrees. Create an invoice from the accepted quote, track progress, record payments received yourself and enter actual hours and spending. Reports compare results with your estimate. JobKit does not collect customer payments.
Recovery and exports
Use Forgot your password for email sign-in recovery; Google sign-in recovery is handled by Google. Account contains JSON backups and CSV exports. Keep regular exports. Restore a small backup into an empty workspace.
Demo and account limits
The no-login demo saves fictional sample work in this browser only: 5 jobs, 5 customers, 10 materials, 3 templates, 5 feedback records and 10 documents. Its PDFs always say DEMONSTRATION. Free accounts include 500 jobs, 200 customers, 200 materials, 50 templates, 100 feedback records and 2,000 documents, with 4 MB of record data and 40 MB of document snapshots per account. No attachments. Self-service restore accepts up to 89 records/documents and 150 KB per import into an empty workspace.
Practical limits
Internet is required to save account records. Hosting and sign-in have finite quotas, so availability is not guaranteed. JobKit does not send customer emails, file accounts or provide accounting advice. PDFs use a Western European character set; unsupported characters appear as question marks. Review documents before sharing.
